Tatua’s quality framework governs how milk is received, processed, tested and released.
Every stage operates within documented procedures designed to maintain specification, traceability and food safety controls. That structure supports compliance and repeatable outcomes across production runs, and reliable supply into regulated and performance-driven markets.

From farm to finished product
Quality starts with milk supplied by our farms all located within 12 kilometres of our manufacturing site in Waikato. Close proximity means early visibility and control over what goes into our product systems.
Defined quality procedures set out how products are identified, tested, verified and released, covering traceability across the supply chain, product identity and compliance, specification consistency, and food safety controls.
Food safety and quality systems
Tatua is Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) certified – the first New Zealand company to achieve this certification, in 2011. Our quality and risk management systems also meet the requirements of the New Zealand Animal Products Act 1999, the New Zealand Food Act 2014, and Overseas Market Access Requirements (OMAR).
